Early monsoon rains have wreaked havoc across Assam, triggering devastating floods and landslides that have left thousands stranded, homes destroyed, and families displaced. The situation is critical — and worsening by the hour.
Entire districts like Barpeta, Nalbari, Dhubri, and Darrang are underwater. Rescue efforts are hampered by washed-out roads, collapsed bridges, and continuous rainfall. Power has been lost in dozens of areas, and access to clean water and food is nearly zero.

Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation (BDRF) has launched an urgent flood response in Barpeta, Nalbari, and surrounding districts, led by our teams of ex-Army personnel, doctors, and trained volunteers.
What We’ve Accomplished So Far:
🍛 8,500+ cooked meals served in flooded villages
🧺 3,000+ emergency ration kits distributed
🏥 Mobile medical camps treating injured and sick villagers
🧥 Blankets, dry clothes, and clean water provided
🛶 Rescue support mobilized in submerged rural areas

- Infant & Hygiene Care: Milk powder, Huggies, sanitary pads, toilet paper rolls, soap, detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and face masks.
