Our Case Stories
It took me thirty years to build my home, but just seconds for the landslide to turn it all to rubble. Everything was gone, and we didn’t even have a drop of fresh water. Thanks to BDRF team that they arrived. They didn’t just bring supplies they brought hope when we had none. In those first days, their support meant survival. I’ll forever be grateful for their kindness and quick response.

My name is Kashinath, a 70-year-old farmer from Sharasa District, Bihar. When the flood hit, it took everything our home, our fields, and even our hope to live. Decades of hard work were gone in a single night. We had no food, no clean water, and nowhere to turn. Then, a ray of hope arrived with Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation (BDRF), which pulled us out of that devastating condition. They brought food, clean water, and blankets, but they offered more than that they gave us back our lost hope.Their kindness and support reminded us that there were people who cared, who hadn’t forgotten us in our darkest hour. I am forever grateful to BDRF.

My name is Sunitadevi and I have lived on the streets of Lucknow for years, with no shelter or warmth to protect me. This past winter was the hardest I’ve ever faced. The cold was unbearable, and I had no place to escape the freezing nights. I spent each night shivering, trying to survive the chill .Thanks to Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation (BDRF) team who reached out to help me .They brought blankets, hot food, and warmth when I had nothing. Their kindness gave me hope and strength during the darkest time. I’ll never forget the support they gave me, which helped me survive the winter and reminded me that there are still people who can think about us.
Sunitadevi, Homeless Woman, Lucknow

My name is Shila Tiwari, and I am 52 years old. The recent floods in East Sikkim took everything from me. My home was submerged, and all my belongings were washed away in the raging waters. For days, I didn’t know where to go or what to do. The loss felt unbearable, and I lost all hope of ever rebuilding my life. But then, Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation (BDRF) helped us come out of this situation. They provided us with basic necessities like food, clean water, and blankets, which gave us a sense of security and warmth during those dark days. They also helped rebuild our homes, giving us the strength to start over. Their support was not just about supplies; it was about restoring our dignity and hope. Thanks to BDRF, I now feel like I have a chance to rebuild my life and my community.
